Meet the People

Over the first year of the Places of Togetherness research program, there have been many encounters with people who live, work or have grown up in Nikea. They shared their stories, memories, dreams, and hopes about Nikea’s shared courtyards. 

These encounters led to the formation of an informal interdisciplinary group of scientists, artists, and researchers who have lived and / or worked on the city’s issues. Our goal is to collaborate with residents and support collective practices that could reactivate Nikea’s courtyards. We imagine the courtyards as shared spaces that allow for creativity, livelihood, and openness!
